Rangers go on the run

FOOTBALL: OLDHAM Rangers, formerly Chadderton Grasshoppers, are set for a one-mile sponsored run at the start of training on Monday.
The run takes place at Clayton playing fields from 6pm.
Manager of the under six and sevens, Michael Franklin, said: “The aim of the run is to raise enough money to buy some training wear.
“Other age groups are invited to take part to raise funds for their teams and up to now we have two other age groups.
“Parents are taking part and we have club mascot Charlie Chadderton in a bear suit running as well.
“After the run we have asked parents to join in the remainder of our training session and have a bit of fun playing kick cricket, making it a fun day for all involved.
“There might even be penalties against Charlie!”
