FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY manager Shaun Higgins welcomed the return of floodlights at the club’s Seel Park ground.
The Lilywhites had to play their home games at Ashton United after the turn of the year, when terrible weather conditions saw two of the floodlight pylons collapse. The other six were later condemned.
Community fundraising made possible the installation of new floodlights, which were unveiled last night in a friendly against Athletic.
Higgins said: “Ashton United provided us with tremendous support last season in staging our evening kick-offs, and we are very grateful.
“Now the floodlights are up it is a weight off our shoulders, we won’t lose any more income now we are able to host night matches again.”
