Pivotal weekend in race for title
Date published: 22 July 2010
CRICKET: FOUR clubs from the Rochdale area are in the mix for Lake Garage CLL title honours.
Leaders Norden and second-placed Rochdale, two points behind, are clearly the best-placed teams with 12 fixtures left.
But Milnrow (third, 10 points behind the leaders) and Littleborough (fifth, 14 adrift) are not out of the title race.
Heywood, in fourth position 12 points behind Norden, also entertain hopes of glory.
The title picture should become clearer this weekend.
Milnrow must beat Norden at Ladyhouse on Saturday if they are to keep alive their hopes, and the leaders face another vital fixture 24 hours later when they entertain Heywood.
With Littleborough hosting Rochdale on Sunday, there is everything to play for.
