Ellahi is ‘Challenge’ star

WOODHOUSES star Manzoor Ellahi has won the Sky Sports’ Cricket AM ‘Speed Gun Challenge’.
Local bowlers took part in the event at Shaw Cricket Club in June, with paceman Ellahi recording 82mph.
The ‘Speed Gun Challenge’ visited a host of league clubs in the country to find the quickest bowler.
And overall winner Ellahi now gets the chance to bowl at two England batsmen in the nets at Edgbaston this week in the build up to the second Test against Pakistan.
Ellahi said he was “delighted” and his club skipper Mike Cassidy added: “Considering this is Manzoor’s first or second year of senior cricket, it is a fantastic achievement.
“He is a credit to Woodhouses Cricket Club and we are all very proud of his win.
“He has proved to be a natural talent. I’m sure there are many more exciting moments ahead.”
