Rain thwarts Delph

DELPH were forced to settle for a draw at home to Slaithwaite in the Drakes Huddersfield League premiership after rain stopped play.
The visitors posted 210 for eight and their hosts, still chasing second spot in the table, were 76 for three when the bad weather intervened.
Irfan Zahoor recorded 37 and Bilal Khiljee contributed an undefeated 30.
MICKLEHURST remain rooted to the bottom of the Frank Platt Championship after defeat to Shelley.
The basement boys were dismissed for 123 before their opponents cruised to a six-wicket victory, S Marsh scoring 37 not out.
Micklehurst are still three points adrift of Hall Bower.
