Magic Mick finds success

MICK Tighe won the first of four Medlock Bridge AC evening matches on Park Lake with 13lb of skimmers, tench and chub.

Conrad Taylor followed with 11lb 14oz, ahead of Dave Pollit’s 8lb 2oz.

Bob Harrison (Team HB) clinched the next contest, with skimmers and tench weighing 21lb. Tony Simcock was well adrift in second with 12lb, while 8lb 8oz earned Simon Cook third position.

Venue Guide

Park Lake – Pellet for plenty of skimmers, tench and chub. Hemp and caster for roach and chub. Peg 8 and 30 the most consistent this week.

Huddersfield Narrow Canal – Plenty of skimmers and tench still showing.

Rochdale Canal – Plenty of fish being caught with some big bream and tench falling to pellet or corn fished across.

Chadderton Mill Lodge – Incredible water with fish in every peg. Maggot and caster fished shallow for plenty of ide. Paste down side for good sized carp. Members only.

Saturday August 7, 14, 21 and 28 - Chadderton Mill AC Dave Slattery memorial series of four matches on the club water. Draw noon, fished 1pm to 6pm. Tickets £15 all in.
