Young guns target Moore glory

AUSTERLANDS are targeting a first Moore Cup triumph this weekend.
Paul Barnes’ young side face a Sunday showdown against Bamford Fieldhouse at Thorpe Lane in the Saddleworth and District Cricket League’s second XI knock-out final (start 1.45pm).
And captain Barnes (30) reckons they are well equipped to break their duck in the competition.

Tomorrow: Stayley v Heyside; Glodwick v Droylsden; Moorside v Hollinwood; Friarmere v Austerlands; Shaw v Greenfield; Saddleworth v Bamford Fieldhouse. Open date: Uppermill.
Sunday, Moore Cup final: Austerlands v Bamford Fieldhouse (at Austerlands, 1.30pm).
THIS season’s Twenty20 Cup finals’ day will take place at Friarmere CC on Bank Holiday Monday, August 30.
