Eastham finish top of Pro-Am

GOLF:
EASTHAM Lodge Golf Club from the Wirral finished top of the pile in Crompton and Royton ladies’ 25th Anniversary Pro-Am Shotgun Start competition.
Professional Nick Sargent led his side to victory ahead of a team from the host club, who were led by professional James Cunliffe of Ormskirk.
Rochdale's Karl Tighe led home the third-placed team consisting of Jane Antrobus and Bev Scholes from Oldham and Kay Orme from Saddleworth.
The professional with the best score in the competition was Sarah Walton of Clitheroe, who carded 68.
In her first year as a professional, Sarah played in a team which included Crompton and Royton assistant pro Karen Heywood.
