CRICKET: DELPH earned a comfortable victory over Holmfirth in the Drakes Huddersfield League Premiership.
Warren Jones took four for 43 for Delph as they dismissed their opponents for 101, a score they passed without loss thanks to Irfan Zahoor (65) and Bruce Cruse (30).
The visit of Skelmanthorpe was abandoned due to rain with Delph on 53 for one in reply to 213 for six.
MICKLEHURST suffered a heavy defeat to Almondbury in the Frank Platt Championship, being bowled out for 100 in reply to 219 for eight.
WOODHOUSES (96) were convincingly beaten at Cheetham Hill (155) in the Lees Brewery Lancashire County League Division One.
