AMATEUR RUGBY: FITTON Hill Bulldogs are running an open age team for the first time in 16 years.
They are competing in the North-West Counties League Division Six.
Home games take place at Hathershaw School of Technology and Sport along with training sessions, which are held on Mondays and Wednesdays for the seniors and Saturdays for juniors.
Coach Ray Nevitt said: “It has been a long time since this club had an open age team. But we got some players together for a one-off game against Hollinwood and it got people talking.
“So we have managed to put together a squad of 22 for the new season.
“The problem is, it is made up of a lot of young, inexperienced players who will need some help from older heads.
“So we are on the look out for anyone interested in coming along to training with a view to joining the squad.”
