Springhead hold their nerve

CRICKET: SPRINGHEAD saw off Robinsons in a close Site Electrical North Manchester Cricket League division one encounter.

Robinsons were dismissed for 166 and Springhead reached their target for the loss of eight wickets.

There was no such joy for Failsworth Macedonia. They were bowled out for 133 by Rochdale Catholic Club, who cruised to victory without loss.

Division two action saw Saddleworth thirds, replying to Farnworth SC thirds’ 74, achieve their goal with eight wickets to spare.

Greenfield thirds bowled out Roe Green thirds for 155 before claiming a dramatic win by one wicket.

Twenty-four hours later, a division four clash saw Springhead seconds dismissed for 93 by Austerlands thirds, who reached their goal with six wickets in hand.
