RUGBY UNION: DEPLETED Oldham RU head to Cumbria tomorrow to face Upper Eden in North Lancs Cumbria Division One.
The Manor Park outfit defeated this weekend’s hosts 9-8 in the corresponding fixture last season, but they will do well to repeat the feat as coach Guy Lovegreen looks to plug the gaps left by a host of cry-offs.
He is is without scrum-half Peter Scrivens, centre Mark Goodman, second rowers Chris MacKenzie and Alan Pierre, utility back Phil Graham, winger Will Mellor and back row Nick Hackman.
One piece of good news is the return from injury of prop Dean McEwan. Steve Connolly (second row) and Rob Burston (prop) are also added to the squad.
Oldham are on a recovery mission after losing their opening game of the campaign 29-0 at Blackburn.
