Trio aiming for last 16 place

BOWLS: NIMBLE Nook’s Gary Ellis, Jimmy Derby and Jonathan Copeland were today bidding for a place in the last 16 of the Waterloo Handicap in Blackpool following victories on Saturday.
Ellis defeated Matt Jones 21-16, Copeland beat Geoff Hilton 21-17 and Derby was completely untroubled in a 21-1 dismissal of Ian Booth.
But their team-mate Andrew Buckley bowed out of the competition, 21-18 at the hands of Barry Booth.
