RUGBY LEAGUE:
SADDLEWORTH Rangers are on a recovery mission in the National Conference League Premier Division tomorrow.
They head to Humberside to face West Hull, who boast an identical record to Keith Brennan’s side with two wins from their opening five matches.
Rangers go into the game on the back a battling 24-18 home defeat by East Hull.
Brennan said: “We’re not a million miles away. We just need to smarten up a bit and have a better understanding of certain match situations.”
Centre Danny Adams is ruled out after damaging medial ligaments in his knee and winger Josh Brown is also sidelined as he recovers from a dislocated shoulder.
COACH Mick Cashin expects his Oldham St Anne’s side to be firing on all cylinders for the visit of Stanley Rangers in Division One tomorrow.
Saints’ first game of the season ended in defeat, 40-26 to Oulton Raiders, but Cashin was far from despondent.
He said: “Oulton already had a game under their belts and are one of the favourites to go up, so I wasn’t too disappointed with the performance.”
Props John Fox and Anthony Platt are unavailable because of other commitments and they will be replaced by Phil Jagger and Andy Sands.
WATERHEAD are at home to Castleford Lock Lane in Division Two.
Garry Highton’s men gave as good as they got before succumbing 34-20 at East Leeds last week.
