BOWLS: SPRINGBANK’S David Buckley and David O’Brien teamed up to win the Failsworth Bowling League pairs competition at St Paul’s Conservative Club.

They defeated Nimble Nook’s Barry Seville and Steve Mellor 21-17 in the final.


JONATHAN Copeland has been in sparkling form in recent weeks and he added to his winnings with two more successes.
The 18-year-old Nimble Nook player landed the Chadderton League Merit with a 21-16 victory over team-mate Stuart Schofield in the final at Springbank.


HEATS continue in the Springbank two-man team competition tonight (6.30pm).
