NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY crashed out of the Evo-Stik Challenge Cup in the preliminary round at home to Trafford.
Seel Park was buzzing after 11 minutes when Sam Hare lashed the ball home from the edge of the box to give the Lilywhites the lead.
But Nia Bayunu equalised 10 minutes later and Scott Barlow won the tie for the visitors with a penalty just after the hour mark.
Boro prove extra special
AFTER going to extra time for the second time in three days, Oldham Boro finally beat Abbey Hey 3-2 in the FA Carlsberg Vase second qualifying round.
Callum O’Sullivan gave Tony Mills’ side the lead after 19 minutes, only for Luke Gibson to equalise before the break and Andrew Levendis to give Abbey Hey the lead after an hour.
Tom Hughes levelled matters in the last minute and pounced two minutes into extra time to score what turned out to be the winner.
