NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY were held to a 1-1 draw at Lincoln Moorlands in the FA Cup third qualifying round.
The Lilywhites took the lead after 26 minutes when Ben Richardson smashed the ball home from the corner of the penalty area.
Shaun Higgins’ men could and really should have wrapped the game up after the break.
Goalkeeper Mario Ziccardi was at full stretch to deny Mike Oates and stood up to everything else thrown at him.
But the hosts equalised with 20 minutes remaining when Mossley goalkeeper Peter Collinge misjudged a long ball, and Ben Good headed home.
Higgins said: “We seem to be playing replays all the time at the moment, which does not suit anyone.
“Hopefully we can finish off the job at Seel Park tomorrow.”
OLDHAM Boro went down to a 3-0 defeat at Daisy Hill in the Vodkat League Challenge Cup first round.
Boro boss Tony Mills was forced to field a number of under-19 players, as he was without five first team regulars.
Paul Gregory scored two quickfire goals as the hosts raced to a 2-0 lead inside 10 minutes.
Gregory completed his hat-trick just before the end of the match to seal the victory for Daisy Hill.
CHADDERTON progressed to the next round courtesy of a 1-0 triumph at Cheadle Town.
Chris Pauley was on target after 58 minutes to send Paul Buckley’s side through.
Buckley, hit by an injury crisis, expected a tough game at Cheadle, who have only lost twice this season.
But despite using several players out of position, his side earned the win.
