Chadds cruise to victory

FOOTBALL: CHADDERTONIANS marched to a 3-0 victory at Old Mancunians in the Lancashire Amateur League Premier Division.
Jack Barnes converted Rick Massey’s cross a minute before the interval to open the scoring.
With 10 minutes remaining Massey got on the scoresheet with a long range effort, before Jack Barnes settled the contest.
Division Two action saw Chadds’ second team defeat Lymm 7-2.
Paul and Dave Jackson got a brace each, while Adam Duxbury, Paul Kearns and Wayne Radcliffe were the other marksmen.
To cap a fine day for Chadds, the ‘A’ side beat Tottington United 7-3. Damien Hardman, Jak O’Dea and Nick Maxwell scored two apiece. Dean Clucas also found the net.
Santos second
SANTOS rose to second place in the Lancashire and Cheshire League Division Two courtesy of a 4-0 win at VIP.
Jonathan Phillips opened the scoring before Steven Cass doubled the advantage.
Cass struck again to give the visitors a 3-0 lead at the break, and Matthew Fitton sealed the win.
The reserves were beaten 3-2 by Parrswood Celtic reserves in Division ‘C’.
Paul Marsh and Dominic Rathmill scored.
Division ‘D’ action saw AFC Oldham reserves lose 1-0 to Staly Lions FC reserves.
The fourths beat Burnage Metro fourths 6-2 in Division ‘F’, with four goals from Ryan Higginson.
Jonathan Irving and Jack Keegan were also on target.
