SNOOKER:
OLDHAM Snooker Academy ‘A’ held their nerve to defeat Belle Vue 4-3 in Manchester Snooker League.
The ‘B’ team enjoyed a 5-2 win against their Belle Vue counterparts — Mohammed Ehsan, Kamran Saeed and Abu Miah were successful — but wins from Tufail Ahmed and Nasser Khan were in vain as the ‘C’ side lost 5-2 to Reddish WMC.
Andrew Higginson, ranked 29th in the world, is appearing at the Oldham Snooker Academy on Tuesday, October 26 (7pm). He will play 10 frames against players who represent the Academy in the Manchester League. Admission costs £5, and there will an auction and raffle.
