MAVER NW Red clinched team honours in the Pennine Winter League with a round to go.
The latest event took place on a clear and hard Hebden Bridge length of the Rochdale Canal.
Steve Ashworth took the individual honours on the day. Using bread punch short and across, he returned plenty of roach in a 5lb 6oz net.
Roger Priestley, in second, employed bread punch and caster for 5lb of roach near the eight-ounce mark.
Third-best was Norman Smith with 4lb 9oz.
The league, with just the one round remaining, sees Maver NW Red on 38 points, followed NW White (29pts), NW Black (28pts) and Trabrucco (25pts).
Martin Holywell, of Trabrucco Halifax, won the Todmorden leg of the Pennine Winter League on the Rochdale Canal.
Situated on the Station House length, he attracted carp and roach for 8lb 6oz, with bread punch on the long pole the successful method.
John Sedgwick was second-best with his peg on Sandholme producing some good stamp of roach on caster for 7lb 1oz.
Derek Greenwood (Maver NW), in third, had 5lb 11oz of skimmers and roach on bread punch from his peg on the gasworks.
Enticing roach on bread punch, Darren Taylor was fourth (5lb 3oz).
The top team on the day were again Maver Red, followed by Maver White and Maver Black.
JEFF Coulter claimed second place in the Blundells Fishery open match on the West, Pine Ash and Willow lakes.
Kerry Kirkwood, with 90lb 3oz of ide and carp on caster and corn, was the winner, while Coulter weighed in a mixed bag of 43lb on the pole.

Venue Guide
Park Lake: Try bread punch, with liquidised bread feed. A small cupful at the start of the session is enough. Small perch virtually at every peg on pinkie or maggot. Day tickets available on the bank.
Huddersfield Narrow Canal: The odd fish are showing, with pockets in places. Sport has slowed down, and perhaps scaling back will attract fish. Greenfield areas worth a try for nets of roach and gudgeon. Day tickets available on bank.
Rochdale Canal: Still fishing okay, with bread punch the best method, although chopped worm and caster will catch a few fish. Pegs behind the bungalows at Firwood park for small roach and skimmers. The Rose of Lancaster length producing nets of roach and skimmers with the odd tench and bream as well. Bread punch and caster the best baits. Chicken run at Slattocks for nets of roach, perch and small skimmers to fluoro pinkie and caster.
Chadderton Mill Lodge: Fishing well with plenty of silvers and carp feeding.
Twingates: Both lodges for fish, with maggot, caster, worm and pellet baits. Members only.
