RUGBY LEAGUE:
SADDLEWORTH Rangers are preparing for a table-top challenge in the National Conference League Premier Division.
Keith Brennan’s side welcome Leigh Miners Rangers to Greenfield tomorrow.
Reacting after the 26-22 reverse to Wigan St Judes, the Saddleworth coach said minor adjustments were required for his side to start turning narrow losses into wins.
The hosts will definitely need to be on their A-game for the visit of Leigh Miners, who have won eight of their 10 league games this season.
Meanwhile, Oldham St Anne’s are gearing up for a must-win Division One game this weekend, according to coach Mick Cashin.
Saints lock horns with Castleford Panthers, who are two places below their hosts in 10th.
Scrum-half Jordan White and second-rower Greg Worrall are available after missing last Saturday’s defeat at Millom because of Lancashire commitments.
“We’ve won all three of our matches at home in the league and it’s important we keep that run going as Cas are on our tails.
“Despite making several enforced changes, we were excellent against Millom and were a bit unlucky to come away with nothing.”
Waterhead are also on the comeback trail in Division Two.
The Peach Road outfit, who lost heavily against high-flying Hunslet Warriors six days ago, welcome Shaw Cross Sharks.
