High-fives as Valley hit back in style
Date published: 27 October 2010
SQUASH: TAME Valley’s first team returned to winning ways with an emphatic 5-0 victory over a bewildered Lancs Health seconds in the North-West Counties Squash League.
Jamie Maddox, Dave Swallow, Amir Manachouri, Phil Wells and Barry Stringer were the triumphant quintet in the Division Three North-East clash.
Tame Valley’s second team also reversed last week’s loss, with a 4-1 defeat of Lancs Health thirds. On the mark were Mike Donohue, Wayne Smith, Graham Hall and Richard Green.
However, the thirds only had wins from Eric Buchannan and Lee Coverley to celebrate as they were beaten 3-2 by Bury thirds.
But the fourths found a winning trio in Nigel Young, Mark Regan and a youthful Derek Leyland to record a 3-2 success against their Bury counterparts.
