GOLF: A PLAY-OFF will be required to decide the winner of Oldham Golf Club’s Dunkerley Cup after Steve Daubney and John Bramall finished tied after the two-round event.
Steve shot net 64 and 66, while John recorded net scores of 67 and 63.
John had the best day two score, but cannot claim this prize if he wins the play-off.
However, he has already secured the veterans’ trophy for his 71-8-63 in the second round.
Day one honours went to Frank Lawrence for a 63.
The captain’s drive-out Stableford, which featured a shotgun start, was won by the team of Alan Squires, Mark Statham, Dave Bruce and Eric Charles with 92 points.
John Bramall, Steve Squires, Paul Butler and Tony Caveney (90) were second, on a card play-off, from C J Bramall, Dave Finn, Dave Lowe and John Coleman 90.
This competition featured a hole in-one for Steve Squires on the 134-yards 16th hole.
