AMATEUR RUGBY: THREE Saddleworth Rangers players have been selected for representative sides.
Full-back Shaun Robinson has been named in the initial 22-man train-on squad for the Great Britain Community Lions, ahead of their one-off Test against France 'A' in Carcassonne on Wednesday, November 24.
Coach Jimmy Taylor and his players begin preparations with a training session at Hopwood Hall, Rochdale, on Sunday.
Jack Francis and Gareth Morgan are both in Kelvin Lockett’s 28-man England Community Lions under-18s squad, to be trimmed to 18, which travels to face their French equivalents in a game which takes place in Bordeaux on Wednesday, November 3.
In what is sure to be a busy month, England also take on Wales and the touring Australia schoolboys.
Great Britain Community Lions coach Dave Woods will be watching as he looks to select a side for a match against Australian schoolboys on December 1.
