Diggle slip down to third

HUDDERSFIELD LEAGUE
DIGGLE suffered a 2-0 defeat at Newsome in the Huddersfield and District League Division One.
The loss saw Diggle drop to third place in the table.
They currently have 12 points, three less than leaders Hepworth United.
Division Three action saw Heyside earn a 3-2 victory at New Mill 94.
James Taylor and Jake Warburton were on target for Heyside, who also saw their opponents score an own goal.
In Reserves Division Two, Steven Partington scored all four goals for Heyside in their 4-4 draw with Diggle ‘A’.

Division One: Newsome 2, Diggle 0. Division Three: New Mill 94 2, Heyside 3. Reserves Division One: Diggle 2, Britannia Sports 2. Reserves Division Two: Heyside 4, Diggle ‘A’ 4. Reserves Division Four: Uppermill ‘B’ 5, Royal Dolphins 2.
