OLDHAM returned to winning ways in the Lancashire GMC Super Eights Elite League with an emphatic 8-2 defeat of Blackpool.
The visitors produced a towering display on away soil, powering into a 3-0 lead courtesy of Dave Yates (4-2), who averaged 84.02 for every three darts thrown, Geoff Tucker (4-0, 79.15) and Peter Connelly (4-3, 71.02).
Blackpool made 3-1, but victory from Lee Holden (4-2, 74.95) restored Oldham’s comfortable advantage.
The hosts reduced the arrears in game six, but wins from man-of-the-match Lee Williams (4-0, 86.36), John Moreton (4-1, 72.29), Dave Rawstron (4-3, 71.21) and Stuart Holden (4-2, 84.35) sealed Oldham’s clearcut success.
Tucker, Connelly and Moreton each recorded 180s.
