CHRIS Oliver is on a roll at the moment in Todmorden AS matches, with victory in the last two events

Situated on the Town House Fishery, he landed 29lb of carp and ide on the pole and worm.

Rob McKendry was second with 13lb 8oz of skimmers and ide, while Peter Fitton was third with 11lb of small carp on the tip and maggot.

Oliver was following up his win on the Croft, where he had an 18lb 8oz net of carp and some bits on the pole and pellet.

Steve Hamer, the runner-up, boasted two-meat tempted carp in a 17lb 2oz return.

THOSE anglers who stayed away from the latest SADAS members-only match missed a real treat.
The turn-out was low on Eagle Mill Dam, but the fish were feeding.

The winner was Fenton Tennant, who used pole, pellet, worm and caster for 13lb 12oz of mainly skimmers, plus a few tench and chub.

Mark Howarth, the runner-up, was second-best with a 7lb 8oz net made up of skimmers, chub and crucians.

o THE Pilsworth open match went to Bob Harrison (Team HB), who employed the maggot approach for ide, skimmers, small carp and plenty of roach in a 15lb 8oz net.
Kevin Crowshaw was second with a similar net of 13lb 14oz, followed by Paul Shore’s 13lb 13oz.

THERE are some cracking catches coming out of Ogden Reservoir, with decent carp and pike showing.
By all accounts, some real big roach have also been feeding. Waggler and maggot are the methods being used.

The length from the houses to the tower seems to be the favoured area, with two perch of more than 3lb mark also landed. My guess is that spinning was the technique used on these occasions.

The water is vast and quite daunting as the fish could be anywhere, but the patch behind the houses always seems to produce.

Day tickets are available on the bank at £5 or they can be obtained from Tight Lines, Shaw, for £4.

TODMORDEN AS’s final trophy match is on Croft Fishery on Sunday, November 14. Draw up to 7.45am. Fishing 8.30am to 1.30pm.
