CHADDERTON crashed out of the Vodkat North-West Counties League Challenge Cup at the second-round stage following a 3-2 defeat at Bacup Borough after extra-time.
Adam Edwards gave Paul Buckley's side the lead two minutes before half time.
Martin Cosgrave levelled matters 10 minutes after the restart when Dave Gwynne gave away a penalty, and Fabio Abrell put the hosts in front after 70 minutes.
Edwards struck again for Chadderton five minutes later, and no-one could find a winner before the end of normal time.
However, Lance Ogunyode was on hand to break the visitors' hearts nine minutes into extra-time.
Buckley said: "Their penalty changed the game because it gave them the initiative.
“It was gutting to lose in extra-time but we gave it our all and were a bit unlucky in the end.”
MOSSLEY went down to a 3-0 defeat at Evo-Stik League Division One North leaders Chester City.
The Lilywhites, boosted by the long-awaited return of skipper Graham Kay, could have taken an early lead through Ben Richardson's free-kick, only to see it tipped away by Chris Sanna in the Chester goal.
The hosts opened the scoring halfway through the first period when captain George Horan headed home a right-wing delivery.
Target man Michael Oates shot wide shortly after the restart for the visitors.
Michael Wilde doubled Chester's advantage after 56 minutes when he diverted a cross from the left into the net.
He ensured the victory with a penalty six minutes before the end, slotting the ball past goalkeeper Josh Ollerenshaw, who is on loan from Athletic.
OLDHAM Boro twice came from behind to draw 2-2 at home to Rochdale Town in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
Tom Ward was Town's marksman after 10 minutes, before in-form Darren Scanlon equalised for Tony Mills' men 12 minutes later.
Matthew Russell restored the visitors' lead seven minutes before the break.
But Wayne Ware levelled for resilient Boro after 56 minutes.
Seconds later, Johnny Joyce was dismissed for a high challenge, but Boro survived the last half-an-hour with 10 men.
Mills said: "It was encouraging to see us come from behind, but we really ought to have won the game several times over, we had so many chances.
"Considering we played the last 30 minutes with 10 men it is a decent result for us.”
