TEENAGER Farakh Ajaib was in red-hot form for Oldham Snooker Academy, reigning champions of the Manchester League Division One.
The 18-year-old (pictured right), from Accrington, pocketed a superb break of 125 in the 7-0 whitewash of last season’s runners-up Hazel Grove Cons.
Ajaib also registered a ton for the Academy in the Summer League, and recently defeated Tony Knowles in a Players’ Tour Championship event.
Sajid Zamurd, with a break of 68, Martin McGuiness and Ian Atherton were the Academy’s other winners on a successful night.
There was disappointment for Academy ‘B’, who lost 5-2 at Belle Vue ‘B’.
They were leading 2-0 thanks to wins from Dr Majid Ali and Abu Miah, but were unable to withstand Belle Vue’s fightback.
Academy ‘C’, with victories from K Mahmood, Nasser Khan, Naveed Mohammed and Nadeem Hussain, defeated Reddish WMC 5-2 to stay top of Division Two.
