Firsts fly flag for Valley

SQUASH: TAME Valley’s first team were the only winners for the Greenfield outfit in the latest round of matches in the North-West Counties Squash League.

Jamie Maddox, Amir Manachouri, Jeff Barker, Phil Wells and Graham Hall

combined to complete a 5-0 rout of basement boys Bury seconds in Division Three North East.

However, Valley’s second, third and fourth teams all lost 4-1.

Richard Green secured the sole win for the seconds against Rochdale, as did Nigel Young (thirds) and Mark Regan (fourths) against Fairways Lodge fourths and Haslingden seconds respectively.
