Watson aiming to make case for the defence

NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: DEFENDER Andy Watson is likely to continue his comeback from injury for Mossley when they travel to Salford City tomorrow in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Goalkeeper Josh Ollerenshaw has returned to Athletic following a short loan spell, so Peter Collinge will start for the Lilywhites.
Mossley boss Shaun Higgins is looking to extend the loan spells of Macclesfield’s Michael Thomas for another month, and Callum Byrne of Rochdale until the end of the season.
Higgins said: “They have done very well and we hope to have something sorted out soon.”
OLDHAM Boro host AFC Liverpool in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One tomorrow.
Manager Tony Mills welcomes back Andy Smith, Lee Deakin and William Whitaker after the trio missed the last match due to work commitments.
Fifth-placed Chadderton travel to Wigan Robin Park, who sit in third position.
Leon Melia, Tom Hughes, Adam Brown and Lewis Maynard are all back in contention to figure for Paul Buckley’s team, following their recent absence due to other commitments.
Buckley said: “Every game we have coming up is like a cup final, because we play top sides like Wigan Robin Park, Blackpool and Irlam.
