Wipe-out expected
Date published: 03 December 2010
RUGBY LEAGUE: WITH pitches covered by a thick layer of snow, the local rugby league scene is facing a second successive wipe-out this weekend.
The National Conference League Division One fixture between Oldham St Anne’s and Oulton Raiders at Higginshaw Road was called off yesterday.
There is little chance of the Saddleworth Rangers versus West Hull clash in the Premier Division at Greenfield going ahead. A decision was expected today.
And Waterhead’s home match with Halifax-based Ovenden in Division Two was likely to suffer the same fate.
