Football: THE D & J Builders (North-West) Ltd Oldham Sunday League schedule did not escape the snow and ice, with the vast majority of games called off.
But an entertaining clash in David Giblin Division One saw Rifle Range Royal Blues roar to a 6-3 win at Highfield United.
Third-placed Range are now just one point behind leaders Limeside Athletic ‘A’, having played a game more.
Division Three action saw Friendship Society edge out Springhead Liberal ‘B’ 2-1, courtesy of H Rashid and M Hanif strikes. D Hodgkins replied for the visitors.
The triumph sees Society hold on to top spot, equal on points with Old Grey Mare but with a superior goal difference, and two games in hand.
Springhead Liberal ‘B’ are third in the table.
Elsewhere, Chaddy End beat Sale 2-0 in the Manchester FA Invitation Shield.
