Improving Oldham hoping for go-ahead
Date published: 10 December 2010
RUGBY UNION: OLDHAM RU play host to Upper Eden tomorrow in the North Lancs and Cumbria Division — weather permitting.
A blanket of snow, several inches thick, put paid to last weekend’s fixture at home to Whitehaven.
It has proved hard to shift, but with temperatures expected to rise, club officials remain hopeful the game will go ahead.
Guy Lovegreen’s side lost 18-0 to Upper Eden in the second match of the season, with all the points scored in the first half.
Lowly Oldham are much improved since then and are fixing their sights on a morale-boosting win.
