Award goes to champions

NETBALL: OLDHAM Sixth Form College’s annual sports prize has been handed to their netball squad, following a fantastic 12 months.
The accolade usually goes to an individual at the annual prize-giving ceremony, but this year the netball players got the nod.
A superb year saw them win the British Colleges Championship, and sweep all before them in several regional tournaments.
The talented squad comprises of Natalie Dawson, Meg Harris, Gemma McDermott, Rebecca Smith, Krista Enziano, Kerry Hopkins, Leanna Murphy, Amy Whitehead, Rebecca Gregory, Yasmin Lambert, Danielle Rogers and Katie Wretham.
A spokesperson for the college said: “Congratulations to all the girls for maintaining the college’s outstanding record of success in netball.”
Glee for student Krista
KRISTA Enziano bagged Oldham Sixth Form College’s Outstanding Academic Results gong at the prize-giving ceremony.
The former Saddleworth School pupil is a member of the college’s successful netball squad, which won a team award.
She got the A-Levels she wanted in order to study law at the University of Manchester.
