Another white-out
Date published: 23 December 2010
RUGBY: SNOW and ice put paid to last weekend’s amateur rugby league programme.
Saddleworth Rangers, Oldham St Anne’s and Waterhead were once again thwarted by the elements in the National Conference League.
There was no action in the North-West Counties League, and Hollinwood’s fixture at Burnley Lions in Division Five of the Pennine League was also postponed.
And, with no games over the next two Saturdays because of the Christmas and New Year festivities, clubs will have to wait until January 8 for a resumption — weather permitting.
