Stableford team joy for quartet

GOLF:

WINNERS of a team Stableford at Crompton and Royton were Charlie Lowe, Alan Scoltock, Paul Ireson and Ray Anchor, who scored 85 points.

Second, on a card play-off after scoring 84 points, were Peter Boggiano, David Whitworth, Lee Conway and Derek Conway, ahead of Richard Flynn, Steve Oldham, Mark Sinfield and Steve Shorrock.

They in turn won a card play-off against fourth-placed Andy Allen, Jordan Abbott, Jack Bottomley-Clift and Dave Holme.
