Double delight eases relegation fears

BOWLS: SHOPWOOD eased their Inbev Winter Bowling League ‘A’ Division relegation worries with two convincing victories.
They defeated Royle 8-3, clinching the aggregate by a single point, and followed up with a 9-2 verdict against fellow strugglers Springhead.
Waterloo and Taunton maintained their title push with a 10-1 victory over North Chadderton, while Springbank are also in the race for honours after an 8-3 win against New Street.
Nimble Nook have a six-point lead at the top of the ‘B’ Division after their 10-1 victory over Failsworth, and Chadderton Cot stayed in contention thanks to an 8-3 defeat of Stalybridge.
