GREATER Manchester Hockey League Division One pacesetters Oldham firsts continued on the winning trail with two more victories at the weekend.
The first came at the expense of their second team, who play in the same division, but succumbed 7-0 despite a battling first-half performance and a player-of-the-match display from captain Jordanna Boon.
Yvonne Jackson opened the scoring following a short corner, and the second half produced six more goals.
Karen Rowley maintained her good form with two goals and an assist for Oona Cassidy, while Louise Rice’s hat-trick completed the scoring and kept Oldham at the top of the first division.
Rowley and Rice were on target again the following day as Oldham beat Moss Park 2-0 in the All-Division Cup.
Through to the quarter-finals of this competition and top of their division, Oldham look sure to add to the two trophies they have already secured this season.
