Oldham joy for G-force

GOLF:

John Glover and Mick Ganley led the way on 46 points in the latest Oldham Winter League four-ball better-ball Stableford competition.

Terry Kelly and Stuart Wagstaffe (45pts) were the runners-up, with Mark Furnival and Mark Ruff (44pts) in third place.

Geoff Allen and Barry Robinson were victorious in the same league 24 hours earlier.

They registered 46 points to claim top spot on a card play-off from Alex Simmons and Paul Pattinson. Ruff and Furnival were third-best again on 42 points.
