New man to give Lilywhites a boost

NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY are hoping to add ex-Athletic striker Chris Hall to their squad for tomorrow’s visit of Warrington Town in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Lilywhites boss Shaun Higgins worked with the target man during his spell at Stalybridge Celtic.
Hall has been in talks this week and could join in time for the Seel Park clash.
Higgins said: “Chris will mainly provide cover for us, but he also brings something a bit different to the table.
“He is a physical presence up front, and it is great to have different options in a long, hard season.”
CHADDERTON will be without Chris Pauley (groin) and Leon Melia (work commitments) when they host Ashton Town in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One.
But manager Paul Buckley welcomes back Gareth Morris from suspension.
Buckley said: “Chris and Leon are big misses for us, but it is good to have Gareth back.
“We played extra-time and penalties in our win over Curzon Ashton in the Manchester Premier Cup, so some of the lads were dead on their feet.
“I might have to shuffle the pack against Ashton Town.”
OLDHAM Boro welcome seventh-placed Atherton Collieries.
Tony Mills’ side sit in 12th place in the NCWL Division One table, and could jump up a couple of places should they secure three points.
After defeat on their own patch last time out, a 2-0 reverse against AFC Darwen, Mills is keen for a return to winning ways.
He said: “Our home form has been good this season. The pitch has been heavy of late, so we have not been able to play our natural game.
“Hopefully it will improve soon and we can start knocking the ball about again.”
