AMATEUR FOOTBALL: SPRINGHEAD suffered their 10th defeat of the campaign in the Bridgewater Office Supplies Manchester League Premier Division, courtesy of a 2-0 reverse at Wythenshawe Amateurs.
It leaves Springhead in 12th place, having won four games and drawn three so far this term.
Elsewhere, Avro earned the local bragging rights with a 4-2 win over Hollinwood in the Manchester FA Challenge Trophy semi-final.
