Mossley sweat on injured players

MOSSLEY have three injury doubts ahead of the visit of Harrogate Railway Athletic in Evo-Stik League Division One North tomorrow.

Striker Mike Oates suffered a groin strain during the 4-1 win at Trafford in midweek, and faces a race against time to feature in the Seel Park clash.

Defenders Ben Richardson and Aaron Chalmers are also carrying niggles.

Both men were substituted in the closing stages of the Trafford match.

Lilywhites boss Shaun Higgins hopes his side are at the start of another unbeaten run.

His men recently went six games without defeat, until they suffered a last-gasp loss at Chorley.

Higgins said: “It is important to keep the momentum going, especially as we have some tough games coming up.

“Lately whenever we have won, it has been by three or four goals, and we are one of the highest-scoring teams in the division now.

“We have options up front, which helps a lot. Let’s hope we can keep banging in the goals.”

OLDHAM Boro travel to Leek CSOB in Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One tomorrow.
The game is welcome news for boss Tony Mills, who has not enjoyed home matches of late due to rainfall making the surface heavy.

He said: “It has been difficult playing at home.

“The weather conditions have restricted us and it has not been possible to play our natural passing game.”

Fellow NWCL Division One side Chadderton have a free weekend.
