Mossley fail in fightback bid
Date published: 26 January 2011
NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL: MOSSLEY suffered a 3-2 defeat at Wakefield last night, in the Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Tom Denton opened the scoring for the hosts from the penalty spot after 12 minutes, before skipper Wes Milnes doubled the lead eight minutes later.
Denton struck again before the half-hour mark, to give the Lilywhites a mountain to climb.
Two Matty Kay penalties — one after 34 minutes, the second in the closing stages, gave Mossley hope but they could not find an equaliser.
