NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
MOSSLEY welcome Salford City to Seel Park tomorrow in Evo-Stik League Division One North.
Ex-Athletic trainee Joe Heap, who operates on the left flank, is pushing for a rare start after coming on as a substitute in the 3-3 midweek draw with Witton Albion.
Heap (17) is one of the leading lights to emerge from Mossley’s youth team, and is on stand-by for England under-18s’ Centenary Shield games against Northern Ireland, Wales, Scotland and Republic of Ireland next month.
Lilywhites boss Shaun Higgins has no fresh injury concerns as his side continue their push for a place in the play-offs.
CHADDERTON go to AFC Darwen in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One without injured duo Chris Pauley (groin) and Lewis Maynard (broken foot).
Maynard suffered his injury playing football at university, and will miss the rest of the season.
David Glynn (banned) and Leon Melia (work commitments) are also out of tomorrow’s match.
Boss Paul Buckley said: “We have a good squad so the cover coming in is good.
“Darwen beat us earlier in the season so hopefully we go into this match with the right attitude and get a positive result.”
OLDHAM Boro travel to Daisy Hill in the NWCL.
Manager Tony Mills has signed ex-Maine Road striker Ryan Shaughnessy and Woodley Sports midfielder Micky Martin, both of whom are expected to play.
Mills said: “We needed to pad out the squad a bit because there are a lot of games coming up, and sometimes my lads miss out because they have to work.
“The new signings are available for the weekend. It should be a good match.”
