Cup final target for Buckley

NON-LEAGUE FOOTBALL:
CHADDERTON go for glory tonight when they host Curzon Ashton in the Manchester Premier Cup semi-final (7.45pm kick-off).
Leon Melia, Adam Brown, Chris Pauley, Keith Melvin and Andrew Pheby are available after missing the 2-1 win at Holker Old Boys in the Vodkat North-West Counties League Division One due to other commitments.
However, Chadderton manager Paul Buckley is considering keeping faith with the same side which earned three points at the weekend despite playing the last 25 minutes of the match with 10 men, after James Curley was given his marching orders.
Buckley said: “The lads who missed the last match are back and I am sure they would like to be involved from the start.
“But after such a good team performance against Holker, I might name an unchanged line-up.
“It is nice to have so many options, especially with a lot of games coming up in a short space of time.
“It is a big match for us because we have the chance to reach a final.”
If the score is level at the final whistle, the tie goes to extra-time and, if necessary, penalties.
MOSSLEY manager Shaun Higgins welcomes back striker Mike Oates for the visit of Wakefield tonight in the Evo-Stik League Division One North (7.45pm kick-off).
Oates missed Saturday’s 2-0 defeat at Witton Albion due to other commitments, but has made himself available for selection again.
And despite an embarrassment of riches up front in the form of Chris Hall, Kristian Dennis and Mike Fish, Higgins may be tempted to freshen things up after the weekend loss.
Aaron Chalmers is the only definite absentee. The defender is still at least a fortnight away from full
fitness following ankle ligament damage.
