BOWLS: SPRINGBANK have one hand on their Inbev Winter Bowling League ‘A’ Division trophy after a 9-2 victory over Springhead on Sunday.
They were lifted going into the game by the 7-4 defeat of main rivals Waterloo and Taunton at the hands of Hopwood.
Hopwood, who at one stage were under threat of relegation, look favourites to clinch third spot following this victory and a further win at the expense of North Chadderton.
There was a shock in the ‘B’ Division when champions Nimble Nook were beaten 8-3 by Vixens.
