Academy team in the pink

SNOOKER: OLDHAM Snooker Academy ‘A’ registered a brilliant 6-1 win at Staly Vegas.

Winners for Oldham were Craig Atherton, Martin McGuiness, Sajid Zamurd and Ian Atherton.

Oldham ‘B’ raced into a 2-0 lead against Frames ‘B’ thanks to frame victories from Abu Miah and Dr Majid Ali, the former winning after needing two snookers on the pink.

However, Frames ‘B’ hit back to make it 2-2 and took a 35-point aggregate lead before Shuja Riaz won the last frame and clinched the aggregate on the pink to make it 5-2 for Oldham.

Oldham ‘C’ crashed 6-1 at Great Moor Cons, where Nasser Khan was their only winner.
