AMATEUR RUGBY:
SADDLEWORTH Rangers will try again to make it into round four of the BARLA National Cup tomorrow.
The Greenfield side face National Conference League Premier Division rivals Siddal (2.30pm kick-off) in a game held over from last week when an unfit pitch prevented play.
Keith Brennan's side face a difficult task to get past the Halifax outfit, one of the country's leading amateur sides in recent years.
The prize for the victors is an away tie at Wigan St Patrick's in the competition's last-16 phase.
OLDHAM St Anne's are hoping to bounce back from last week's disappointment to record a home victory against Eccles in NCL Division One (2.30pm).
Mick Cashin's men are ensconced in mid-table but will feel confident of putting on a good performance against local rivals who have found this season a struggle, sitting bottom of the standings with only two wins from 14 matches.
Luke Wallace scored Saints' only try in a 24-4 home reverse to Widnes St Marie's seven days ago as the Higginshaw Road club dropped out of the BARLA National Cup in round three.
IN NCL Division Two, Waterhead are looking to earn back-to-back wins at home against Crosfields (2.30pm).
The Peach Road club's game at West Bowling last week was postponed, following on from the 34-18 win over Heworth that lifted Garry Highton's side off the foot of the table.
Fourth-bottom Crosfields are currently a place above Waterhead in the standings, four points clear having played three games more.
