Howard races to national victory

ADAM HOWARD: National Cross Country Champion.
CROSS COUNTRY:
ADAM Howard overcame snow, rain and mud to claim the Under-15s English National Cross Country Championships title at Alton Towers.
The Oldham and Royton runner ran superbly, defeating the nearest competitor by more than 13 seconds in a time of 16:53 to pick up the goal medal.
There was another great performance from an Oldham athlete in the under-13s boys' race, where Christopher Brown capped a fantastic run with a sprint finish that won him the bronze medal in 8:51.
